It was during this time, fueled by conversations with my friend Darryl Johnson, that Spirit the Dragonfly took flight from concept to creation. Encouraged to bring my vision to life, I began sketching Spirit, pouring into it the essence of every story, every comfort, every moment of joy I found in my childhood companions, Snoopy and Winnie the Pooh. The collaboration with Bradon Avants, a talented artist whose work echoed the nostalgia of my own sketches, was serendipitous.
